The Field Checklist for Hotel Security Assessments is a comprehensive tool that enables you to effectively evaluate the security of hotels in higher-risk environments.
This checklist is designed to assess the security of hotels located in higher-risk areas where there is a potential threat of terrorism. As such, it covers aspects of security such as vehicle and personnel checks. However, most of the checklist can be applied to hotels in any location, regardless of the level of risk.
The checklist includes advice on planning hotel assessments, helping you to avoid potential pitfalls. The checklist is structured in the sequence you would conduct the assessment. It follows our “outside in” approach, which allows us to perceive security in the same way a threat group would during an attack.
We’ve used variations of this checklist in the field for more than 10 years, using it to assess more than 100 different hotels in multiple higher-risk locations. Over that time, we’ve continued to iterate and improve the checklist.
