In this interactive workshop, you’ll discover how to:

  • Organise yourself in advance of an evacuation, including the essential roles and tools you can use to coordinate movement.
  • Safely execute evacuations by air using scheduled or chartered aircraft
  • Safely execute evacuations by land across borders
  • Safely execute evacuations by sea
  • Handle the inevitable contingencies that might occur during an evacuation

We include numerous case studies during the workshop so you can understand how key concepts will work in practice.

The contingency section includes a series of exercises designed to provoke discussion as to how to handle different contingencies while ensuring that the evacuation can continue.

Meet your instructor

Your instructor for this workshop has 35 years of security experience in a combination of government, corporate and consulting roles.

He has conducted multiple security evacuations, including high-risk evacuations from Lebanon and Afghanistan. He is the author of The Security Evacuation Handbook and has written multiple articles on the topic of security evacuations.

Training format

This workshop can be conducted remotely via video or in-person at your office. To ensure an optimal learning experience, remote sessions have a limit of 8 to 18 participants.

Our informal training format encourages questions and fosters knowledge-sharing among peers.

We offer remote workshops via Zoom or in-person sessions at your office. Detailed instructions for using Zoom will be provided in advance.

The workshop will be delivered in English, and all training materials will also be in English.
